If you have children under 12 years APG will pay a contribution towards childcare costs. Each employee may claim up to €300 per year (on submission of an invoice) for childcare, a childminder, or after school care costs. 

APG has a collective contract with VGZ. As employee this entitles you to a discount on your premiums. Whether this is beneficial for you depends on your personal situation and requirements. Participation is not mandatory.

APG introduced a new mobility policy on January 1, 2022. With this new policy, APG is committed to conscious travel and to offering employees flexibility. At the same time, the policy includes measures to stimulate sustainable and health-promoting travel options. All APG colleagues (with the exception of colleagues who have a mobility budget) will receive an NS Business Card. You can use this NS Business Card for commuting and business travel (1st class). The NS Business Card also entitles you to use the P+R, public travel bicycle (OV-fiets), and secure bicycle parking.

Combined travel

The new mobility budget also enables you to combine your travel. For example, you can travel first to the station by bicycle or by car to a P+R, and then continue by train. This means you can choose most sustainable transport for a journey and one that is the most convenient for you.

Bicycle plan

For sustainability and health reasons, APG stimulates colleagues to cycle to work. We also offer an interest-free loan to purchase a bicycle up to a maximum amount of € 2,000 every three years. You can also choose between two types of bicycle plans: bicycle tax or bicycle allowance. You can read the details on our intranet once you have started work.

Shuttlebus

Heerlen

A shuttlebus drives every workingday to and from the Central Station. In the morning from 7 am till 10 am (with exception of Thursday and Friday till 9.15 am) and in the afternoon from 4 pm till 5.45 pm. You can hop on across the head intrance of the station and hop off at the square in front of the APG building. 

Amsterdam

Do you have a parking authorization for the parking area Deccaweg 26 in Amsterdam? Then you can use a shuttlebus to drive to and from the office building Edge West. The van drives every workingday from 6.30 am till 10 am and from 3 pm til 6 pm. You can hop on in front of the entrance of the parking area.

"Samen op weg naar duurzaam reizen" ("Working together for sustainable travel") is the title of the intranet page where, from your first working day, you can find all the information you need on the APG mobility and parking policy.

Parking authorization

You receive a parking authorization depending on your commuting distance (one way).

• For parking in Heerlen, the lower limit is 8 kilometers.
• For Amsterdam, we make a distinction between parking on:
• Edge west, for this you get a parking authorization if you live 20 km or further from the office
• Deccaweg, for this you get a parking authorization if you live 10 km or further from the office

Reservation system

To be able to enter the parking area, you need to make a reservation in advance in the TOOgethr portal.

Pilot parking from February 1 through October 31 '23

A pilot will start as of February 1, in which all internal employees will be able to park at their office. Employees with a parking permit based on travel distance, will get priority when reserving a parking spot, however. More detailed information? PPF APG is the APG staff pension fund. You will receive an e-mail from People Services with details about your pension and your value transfer options. You will also receive welcome information by mail within around four weeks. As soon as you have registered as an employee (after around four to six weeks) you can use your DigiD to log onto the PPF APG site and arrange your pension affairs. 

Flexible working is the norm. You can work at home, at the office, or elsewhere. Commitments have been made in the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) about setting up a good homeworking space. Every five years, you can spend €850 on a chair, a sitting/standing desk, and/or lighting. You can find more information about the plan and how you can make your expenses claim via Insite (you can open this direct from the intranet).

Your payslip will be available digitally on Insite every month (you can open this direct from the intranet). You can arrange all kinds of personnel matters via Insite, such as requesting leave, claiming expenses, and requesting an employer’s statement.

Public transport (OV)

If you travel by public transport, you will receive an NS Business Card for commuting and business travel (1st class). The NS Business Card also entitles you to use the P+R, public travel bicycle (OV-fiets), and secure bicycle parking.  

Bicycle or car 

You can claim the kilometers you cover by bicycle and car via Insite. For your commute, the kilometers will already be entered. For business travel, you can enter these yourself. APG also offers various discount schemes for purchasing a bicycle or e-bike.

• The car allowance is €0.19 per kilometer
• The bicycle allowance is €0.23 per kilometer
• The business travel allowance using your own transport is €0.19 per kilometer

You are elegible for 2 days a year to improve the future of yourself, another, or society.

Yes, you will receive an internet compensation of 30 euro net per month.

Ancillary activities and voluntary work you already perform before your starting date, you pass on to HR during the application process. Do you want to perform new ancillary activities and/or  voluntary activities during your employment with APG?  Request permission from your manager and complete the form 'registering additional activities’. You will find this form on your personal page in Insite, once you have started at APG. 

If you have admission to price sensitive information, you can be regarded as an 'insider'. Together with your contract, you received the APG employee integrity policy. Here you find a list of the insider positions and departments. If your position is on the list, you will automatically receive a notification by e-mail via CM-Insiders within two months after you starting date. In this e-mail you will be requested by means of a reply, to indicate your investments within 7 working days. You will receive a response when additional action is required. Unauthorized investments and will have to be phased out within one year.

Yes, APG has arranged collective disability insurance with complete coverage (both in the event of partial and full incapacity for work). APG will pay the premium. A medical check is not necessary. It is also possible not to participate in the collective insurance. In that case, you fill in a waiver statement, which you can find on APG Insite after you start working.
