First Day on the Job
We gather at the reception. You will receive your access badge and meet other new joiners. Your morning program will consist of:
- NewPeople on Tour: office tour (@Heerlen or @Amsterdam depending on your office location)

- Presentation Digital Security

Workshop APG (HR)-systems

End of program / lunch and introduction within your own team
It may happen that in your start month, the minimum number of particiants requires for the tour and the HR workshop is not met. In that case, we will offer a suitable alternative.
Your first 100 days you get to know APG at central and decentral levels
- New people @APG is the central onboarding program. In addition to the First Day on the Job you will be invited to three themed onboarding sessions covering Strategy & Culture, Member driven focus and Asset Management.
- Your direct colleagues and your manager are the most important people during your first period. Most teams have a buddy system.
E-learnings
You will receive an e-mail from the HR Service Desk in your first week containing a hyperlink to an intranet page where you'll find practical information to find your way. You will also receive an invitation for several e-learnings, including:
- An e-learning about the APG Strategy, and how you can contribute to stay on track.
- E-learning about IT Security
- APG Ambassador: about your and APG's online reputation
Coffee
It's an important question. How’s the coffee? We have coffee machines at our offices where you can collect different types of coffee as well as tea, soup, and hot chocolate.
At APG, we follow a Bring Your Own policy for coffee and tea cups. But... are you attending the First Day On The Job? Then you'll receive a voucher for a free reusable, sealable cup. A great way to start sustainably right away.
You can also buy coffee freshly prepared by the barista and just how you like it. You can find the barista in the central hall in Heerlen and in the Atrium in Amsterdam. You can only pay with a bank card.
Lunch
Our offices have a business restaurant with a wide choice of hot and cold lunch dishes. APG wants to have climate-neutral business operations by 2030, and this is also reflected in the restaurant's range, which is largely plant-based. And again, you can only pay with your bank card.
